United Hospital signs MoU with DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services) for joint collaboration to operate Munshiganj Isolation Centre for Corona Virus (COVID19) suspect/positive patients
At Gholtoli of Louhaganj Upazilla of Munshiganj, at one hour distance from Dhaka, a 25 bed Isolation Centre for Corona Virus (COVID19) suspect/positive patients,
fully equipped with all modern facilities including ICU, ventilators, dialysis & RO (reverse osmosis) water supply, bi-pap & c-pap to aid difficult breathing and medical gas support etc, constructed at a 2 Katha premises in the middle of a 100 bigha green land, has been handed over to DGHS yesterday after a MoU was signed between Faridur Rahman Khan, Managing Director of United Hospital and Dr Abul Kalam Azad, DG of DGHS, MoHFW. Under this agreement, DGHS will provide trained doctors and nurses with right credentials to operate the centre under supervision of Munshiganj Civil Surgeon’s office. United Hospital will provide all infrastructure, logistics, equipment maintenance, quality assurance, infection control, laboratory investigation, documentation and online surveillance support for upkeep of the centre.
Munshiganj Isolation Centre is a unique well-thought facility having trained manpower and complete planned deliverables designed to manage COVID19 patients, first of its kind, in Bangladesh.
