Maj Gen Dr Munshi Md. Mojibur Rahman graduated (MBBS) from Dhaka Medical College in 1981. He brings with him an illustrious career of 36 years serving in different Combined Military Hospitals (CMH) including Jashore, Chattogram & Dhaka and further in AFMC and DGMS.
Dr Munshi started his career in CMH Jessore (now Jashore) in February, 1983. He did his MCPS & FCPS in Surgery in 1989 from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
He became Graded Specialist in Surgery at the end of August 1988 and served CMH Dhaka and Chittagong (now Chattogram) for two years; thereafter as Clinical Specialist in Surgery at CMH Dhaka for two years till mid-1992. After that he served as Clinical Specialist Surgeon in Cardiovascular Centre, CMH Dhaka from 1996 till 2005; again from 2006 till March 2013 with one year of foreign mission in between, from August 2005 in UNMIS (United Nations Mission in Sudan) as Surgical Specialist.
On April 2013 he became Chief Surgeon of CMH till end of 2015; thereafter from 2016 he served as Commandant at Armed Forces Medical Centre (AFMC) after which he served Directorate General of Medical Services (DGMS) office Dhaka as Consultant Surgeon General till May 2018; then as Director General (DG) till his retirement on January 2019
